Fatal Pictures’ “Familiar” Turns Ill Thoughts into Horror
Familiar is only Fatal Pictures’ third release—all of them short films—following their debut Consumption, based on a true life case of consensual cannibalism, and Familiar’s pseudo-companion piece Worm, about a pleasant school teacher who goes through life hiding misanthropic, even homicidal, inner monologues. As with those two earlier efforts, even the fantastical elements of Familiar are only scary because they’re rooted in the dark emotions of real human beings. Read this incredible review here.
